PSA on Pokemon 30th Celebration preorders!
We have received a lot of direct messages, emails, phone calls, in store walk ins, and surprisingly messenger pigeon letters asking us about our preorders for Pokemon 30th Celebration. We have tried doing preorders in almost possible way in the past to try to please our players and collectors and due to trial, error, and some unhappy people that did not read the preorder guidelines, we ultimately landed on how we do preorders now.
We usually post preorders 1-2 weeks before a set releases due to us waiting on information from our distributors on what they will allocate us. This helps us get our near final numbers on what we will receive so we can guarantee every preorder will be fulfilled. Given that this set has products releasing on 9/16 at the earliest, it will probably be a bit before we find out most of our allocations from distributors. Distributors never have a set date they will tell us our allocations. We have it range from 2 months before preorders to even 2 weeks after set release (which really sucks). Most of the distributors tell us 1-3 weeks before release.
That being said, please be patient with us and don't bombard the store phone anymore. My team is starting to visibly look tired when the phone rings now. If the allocations we get end up being large enough to open it up to our locals and online community, we will post a preorder.
