There’s really no easy way to address this topic without it sounding a little harsh, but here’s my go at it🤎

Not every gallery I photograph ends up on my feed—and sometimes a gallery I absolutely LOVE barely gets posted at all.

It has nothing to do with whether I loved your photos, your family, or your session. Social media is just a very small, very curated piece of what I actually photograph. It’s where I’m trying to show future clients what they can expect from me while also keeping a mix of the different stories I love telling.

Sometimes I’m trying to show more motherhood, couples, newborns, or in-home work. Sometimes a gallery just doesn’t fit what I need to share at that exact moment.

But your gallery? That wasn’t made for Instagram.

It was made for you. For your walls, your camera roll, the grandparents you immediately send them to, and the photos you’ll randomly come across years from now and realize just how much has changed.

So if you’ve ever wondered why I only shared two photos from your gallery—or none at all—please don’t take it as a reflection of how I felt about your session🫶🏻

There’s a lot more thought that goes into what makes it onto my feed than “do I like these photos?”

I think we need to start bringing snacks to more session👀

Because handing your kids a giant slice of pizza and taking them down the boardwalk for ice cream gave me this.

Sticky fingers, cheese pulls, sandy knees, wandering eyes, mid-bite laughs and everyone actually enjoying themselves.

This gallery feels like a Friday night at the shore with your kids — which was kind of the whole point🍕🍦

And I’m officially accepting pizza as a session activity from here on out😂

Detailed shots: Fresh 48 edition 🤍

When I’m booked for a freshie, my goal is to remember what it felt like as a first-time mom myself. What goes the fastest? The crinkled toes that are imprinted from your womb, those tiny hands and nails you grew from scratch, and the pouty lip of a milk-drunk baby.

All of those little details that feel so normal in the moment, but somehow change before you even realize it.

My goal as your photographer, entering such a fresh and intimate birth space, is to fit seamlessly in. Not making your day stressful or feeling like you have to perform for the camera, but making it something to look forward to—and giving you a way to remember all the tiny pieces that went way too fast.

Fall booking is OPEN 🍂🤎

And this is the kind of fall I want to remember

Bare feet. Babies nursing. Toddlers climbing all over you. Tiny hands reaching for mom. The moments that don’t always feel picture perfect while you’re living them, but somehow end up being the ones you miss the most.

This season I’m leaning even more into storytelling—less worrying about everyone looking at the camera and more documenting what your family actually feels like right now.

Come as you are. Let the kids wander. Feed the baby. Snuggle them when they need you. I’ll take care of the rest.

Some time this week my mind will inevitably wander back to this set of images and how inspired they make me 🍃🫐

I don’t tend to write long, sappy captions, but I feel like this one calls for it.

Late last year/early this year, I did an in-person mentorship with Grace Mae Photography | Family & Newborn | Bucks County PA to help me with my indoor work, and somewhere along the way I completely fell in love with storytelling photography. I felt like I was on a roll. My work was giving me so much joy, I felt like I was creating galleries I was genuinely proud of, and I was finally starting to see where I wanted my photography to go.

And then I got pregnant 🤯 *Cue 12 weeks of morning sickness*

I’m not going to pretend those 12 weeks didn’t affect me or my business, because they absolutely did. I felt mentally stuck. I didn’t feel inspired to put my work out there—or really put myself out there either. I started questioning where I wanted to go with photography and felt like I had lost a lot of the momentum I had worked so hard to build.

Then one day I was mindlessly scrolling on my phone and saw Dom post on her Instagram story that she was looking for a mentee to be part of an educational video in exchange for an in-person mentorship.

At first, I scrolled right past it because I have TERRIBLE luck with winning anything 😂 I literally thought, what are the odds she picks me?

And then I said f**k it—pardon my French—went back, and submitted my name. What did I have to lose?

Well, not to spoil the ending lol, but Dom chose me.

And I genuinely feel like it happened at exactly the time I needed it.

This was my second mentorship with Dom, and somehow, for the second time, she helped me find my groove again. I left feeling excited about photography, confident in what I was creating, and most importantly, clear about what I actually want.

And to any mom who owns a business and is currently in the thick of the early stages of motherhood, and you’re trying to build something of your own: it is still worth investing in yourself.

part 1 of summer like we used to 🍋

thank you to our model Heather Marie for making our vision come to life, being so accommodating with changes; and i mean look how adorable her kids are!!!!

after moving to our rain date and having to change a few things around, i’m so happy with how everything came together. i hope everyone who came out feels the same 🥹

a big reason i love doing Northeast Creative Sessions is because it gives us a chance to just create. try something new, get a little weird with it, move around, play with your camera and not take it too seriously — and that’s when the best art is created

with fall craziness right around the corner, it felt GOOD to just make something for fun.

A little life update from me💙

• I’m a yapper. I’ll probably ask about your life, your kids, your pets, and how you met your partner.
• I’ll hype you up, but I’ll also be honest. If a pose isn’t flattering or an idea isn’t working, I’ll change it.
• I care way more about creating photos that feel like you than forcing a Pinterest pose that doesn’t.
• I charge my worth—a girls gotta get paid and run a business!

Your photographer is with you during some of your most intimate and important moments. You deserve someone who feels like a good fit—not just someone whose editing you love.
