🎶🎺 SPRING BAND CONCERTS 🎺🎶

Join us this Sunday, May 17th, for an afternoon of music featuring our talented student musicians.

📍 Location: MGHS Auditeria

🕑 2:00 PM Concert
• 5th Grade Band
• 6th Grade Band
• Middle School Band

🕞 3:30 PM Concert
• High School Concert Band

🎵 Middle School Concert Information:
• 7th & 8th Grade Band report at 1:15 PM
• 6th Grade Band report at 1:20 PM
• 5th Grade Band report at 1:30 PM

👔 Middle School Dress Code:
• Ladies: Dress top with sleeves, dress pants or skirt/dress below the knee, dress shoes or flats
• Gentlemen: Dress shirt or polo, dress pants, black socks, and black dress shoes

🎶 High School Band students should report to the band room at 3:00 PM and wear their springtime concert attire. (Does NOT have to be all black)

Come out and support the hard work and dedication of our students as they celebrate a fantastic year of music! Families, friends, and community members are encouraged to attend and cheer on our musicians. 💜

🎶💜 OMEA STATE CONTEST – THIS SATURDAY! 💜🎶
Hello Band Families & MG Community!
Our High School Concert Band is heading to state contest this Saturday, and we would LOVE your support! Let’s pack the audience with purple and white pride! 💜🤍

📍 Location: Licking Heights High School
📅 Date: Saturday, May 2
🎼 Performance Time: 10:40 AM (LHHS Auditorium)

🚌 Student Schedule:
• 8:00 AM – Report to MG Band Room
• 8:30 AM – Bus departs
• 10:40 AM – PERFORMANCE
• 12:30–1:00 PM – Return to MGHS
👕 Dress: Concert Black

⚠️ Important Reminders:
• 🚫 NO recording of any kind during performances (this can disqualify the band)
• 🍴 Students should eat before arriving (time for concessions is not guaranteed)
• 💵 Bring money just in case concessions are available
• 📌 This is a required, graded event for all Concert Band students
👏 Come cheer on our talented musicians as they take the stage—we are so proud of them and excited for this performance opportunity!

🎤✨ Show Choir Spectacular Success! ✨🎤

Mount Gilead Show Choir had an incredible show April 12th at the Show Choir Spectacular! We are so proud to share that they brought home the Crowd Favorite Award for the SECOND year in a row! 🏆💜

Their hard work, energy, and talent lit up the stage—and the audience agreed! From start to finish, they gave a performance to remember, and we couldn’t be more proud of each and every student who made this moment possible.

A huge thank you to our directors, volunteers, families, and supporters who continue to cheer them on every step of the way. Your support makes all the difference!
