Surry Arts Council Volunteer Recruitment!! We need you!!!

Tuesday, September 8 at 6:00 pm in the Andy Griffith Playhouse

The Surry Arts Council relies on volunteers to usher for shows and concerts at the Andy Griffith Playhouse and Historic Earle Theatre, work special events including Mayberry Days, volunteer at the Andy Griffith Museum and Museum of the Siamese Twins, and help with production aspects of our theatre productions including set building, set painting, props, costuming, running sound, lights, and much more. If you are 18 or older we invite you to attend this meeting. We will cover duties/expectations, and answer questions. We will also get basic information so we can update you on volunteer opportunities. If you are unable to attend the meeting, but are interested in volunteering, please email [email protected]

Enjoy learning and playing ukulele in Andy Griffith's hometown. The weekend features over 15 classes and strum-alongs.

Attendees enjoy jamming, playing, and learning ukulele in a nostalgic small town. Classes are held in the Arts Center (215 Rockford Street, Mount Airy, NC) and Historic Earle Theatre (142 Main Street, Mount Airy, NC). Our goal is for you to leave with new friends and new skills – and have fun in Mayberry!
