Working on some new products. I found a material that carved easily and works with ink stamp pads, so I'm going to start selling hand-carved stamps soon.

Morning light and a finished project.

Step 2 complete.

First, I took a picture of my sketch with my phone, copied half of the picture, and reflected it to make the symmetrical design easier to execute.

Then, I used Affinity photo to raise the contrast of the image so that a vector trace in Inkscape would allow me to keep the line drawing while removing the background and converting it to a solid color.

Finally, I erased and added lines by using the eraser tool and pen tool respectively. This was done mostly intuitively with the goal of creating more contrast between the different elements.

Still a work in progress for sure! I'm probably going to tweak the details a little bit more before moving to carving.
