Baby Ring-tailed lemur getting more confident! 🥹

Say hello to one of the zoo’s newest babies! This Ring-tailed lemur baby was born on April 12 to mom Chili.

At birth, Ring-tailed lemurs weigh just 2.5 to 4 ounces. Newborns spend their first weeks clinging to mom’s belly before switching to rides on her back. Ring-tailed lemurs are raised cooperatively by the entire troop. 🖤🤍

Seven cheetahs vs. one splash pool. 💦🐆

Happy 1st Birthday to Lagos, Bukavu, Cairo, Matola, Kampala, and Lusaka! They celebrated today with their mom, Zuri.

The cubs had never seen a splash pool before, and it quickly turned into a game of chasing, pouncing, and stealing it from one another. Safe to say the enrichment was a success! 🤣
