We always want the BEST for our CONTESTANTS at our productions and want to share a special moment we shared at our 4th of July Creede Chute Out Rodeo in Creede, Colo. several years ago.
The Fairgrounds Committee had put up a total of $3,600 in Added Purse $ for 4 events (Bull Riding, Team Roping, Barrel Racing & Breakaway Roping) that day, making for a pretty good payout, especially with it being 100% Payback on entry fee’s.

We were all having such a Grand Ol Time when the Fairgrounds President handed a note to our fearless announcer in the middle of the rodeo saying that Forrest Hoglund is Doubling the Added $ in honor of his 90th Birthday and the Chute Out Volunteers! Making for a total of $7,200 in Added Purse $ for our Contestants that day!

FYI found it laying outside of the burn barrel , glad it didn’t burn, great reminder of that special moment.
Thank you Mr. Hoglund!
