We are open Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday 11AM -4PM but due to a Memorial Service we will be closed on Sat. Sept. 5th. The entire weekend - Today through Tuesday shop with code "FAMILY" for 20% off all fabric on the bolt. (no instore purchases on Sat. Spent the past week up at Camp Ocean Pines in Cambria, CA! Nothing like quilting with a view! - And a gorgeous view it was... white water, evening stars, and even a lunar eclipse. We also had a retreat challenge quilt, a few fun games and more food than we should have eaten. We met many wonderful people (and outstanding quilters!) Couldn't have been a better "maiden voyage" for the: You "Otter Be Quilting Retreat. Join us next year - details and sign ups coming soon! Thanks everyone for making this quite a memorable week!

Join us for a special showing of Practical Magic 2 at the Bay Theatre, hosted by the Morro Bay Yarn Shop, the Quilted Otter, and Estero Bay Art & Craft! 🧶🎨🍿

This Crafternoon Movie Event takes place Saturday, September 19 at 1:00 pm.

Tickets are $10 and will be available for purchase only at the Bay Theatre starting at 12:30 pm the day of the event.

Practical Magic 2 is rated PG-13 and runs for 1 hour and 50 minutes. This sequel to the 1998 classic, stars Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman as the Owens sisters who return to face their family's historical curse.

A “crafternoon” showing means the theater will keep the lights up just enough so you can actually see what you’re making while the movie plays. It’s not a class, but a fun place to work on your project and enjoy a movie at the same time. Bring your embroidery, drawing, knitting, crochet, stitching, travel paints, or any small (and non-messy) portable craft, and settle in for an afternoon of making and watching.

We'll be here Friday from 9AM-5PM and Sat. 9AM - Noon. Sat. August 15th we say good bye to our fantastic employee - Christina - as she heads off to college in Minnesota! Drop by between Noon - 2PM on Sat. The Quilted Otter opened in north Morro Bay to preserve quilting traditions, stock fabric bolts, teach classes and host retreats, workshops and quilting circles.
