Jim Sachs, Partner in Harris-Sachs, LLC, was selected to lead a round table discussion for the third year in a row as part of the Round Table Workshops series during the Licensing Expo Show in Las Vegas. The Licensing Expo is the world’s largest tradeshow dedicated to brand, character, entertainment, fashion and art licensing. In its 36th year, Licensing Expo remains one of the highest attended conferences in the global licensing industry. The show will run this year from May 23rd through May 25th.

Sachs will moderate a round table discussion for LIMA (Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association) and he will explain how to market and sell a licensed product once the licensing deal is done.

“My most frustrating experience as a licensing consultant is the inability of manufacturers, once they have signed a licensing deal, to actually know how to market and sell it. Licensing is a two way street. Knowing how to partner with the licensor and fellow licensees is important” says Jim.

Join the discussion on Tuesday May 23rd at The Mandalay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Check out link below from recent discussion at NYC Licensing Summit. It is interesting that Schmidman states that we are "over stored" when in actuality the shelf space in these stores are, from a licensing perspective, limited. Limited to only those brands that are consistently "hogged" by the biggest brand players and timid buyers. Competition for this "occupied territory" is almost impossible. The end result is boring retail. No wonder shopping on line is eating brick and mortar lunch. https://iramayer.com/2017/03/06/uncertainty-of-trumponomics-shapes-discussions-at-nyc-licensing-summit/
