The Elite Company dancers had an amazing weekend in Greenville, South Carolina, at ShowStopper! It was their last regional competition of the Season - with only Nationals left to go - and they did an incredible job against some ferocious competition!

The levels were (high to low) Competitive, Advanced, and Performance. The award structure was (high to low) Crystal, Double Platinum, Platinum, Gold, and Silver. Here’s how they fared:

Audition registration is now open for the Elite Competition Teams at Dance Elite!

Join us for two mornings of choreography clinics on Thursday, July 9 and Friday, July 10 at 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. You will learn the audition choreography together with all the dancers! It’s a fun two days of dance and it’s free! Then on Saturday, July 11 beginning at 10:00 a.m., the dancers will audition before the judging panel in two, threes, and groups. Dancers must be between the ages of 8-19 and have completed at least one year of Ballet training to be eligible to audition for the Elite Company (level 3 competitors) or Elite Ensemble (level 2 competitors).

The Petite Elite Company is the mini version of the Elite Company! Come on Saturday, July 11 at 9:00 a.m. for a free audition class with Team Coach, Ms. Marley. Petite Elite Dancers must be between the ages of 6-9. One year of Ballet training is desired but not required.

To register for auditions for the Elite Company, Elite Ensemble, or Petite Elite Company, just go online to DanceEliteMorristown.com and click on the “Classes” tab, then the “Registration” tab. From there, click on “Competition Team Auditions 2026”.

All three of the Elite Competition Teams at Dance Elite competed this past weekend and they had an AMAZING time! Among the many awards they received, they brought home the “Celebrity BreakOut Award” for the highest scoring routine age 13 and Over, TWO IDA nominations (highest scoring routines in the advanced division) as well as the Outstanding Group Award for Artistry – and so many more! With just one more regional competition next month in South Carolina and a Nationals to go, these kids are on fire!

The award structure was (high to low) Platinum Plus, Platinum, High Gold and Gold. All four award levels were given. The divisions were (high to low) Advanced, Intermediate, and Novice. Here’s how they fared:

“Messiah” – Advanced Teen Large Group – PLATINUM PLUS adjudication, 1st Place Overall, IDA Nomination (highest scoring routine in the Contemporary/Lyrical division)

Registration opens tomorrow, April 1st at 9:00 a.m. for Dance Elite’s Summer 2026 session of classes (June 15-July 24) and our main season, the 2026/2027 Season (classes on August 3, 2026-June 6, 2027). Some classes fill quickly, so register early to get your first-choice classes!

If you have never used the online registration portal, just go to our website at DanceEliteMorristown.com and click on the “Classes” tab, then the “Registration” tab. Put in your email and make up any password you like to enter your dancer and choose classes. If you have any questions about which classes to choose, please send us an email at [email protected] or give us a call at 423-353-1325.

If your child danced with us this year, you will also be able to see Pre-Approved class levels for any class she/he took this year. You can click on any of those in the Pre-Approved list, or chose directly from the online schedule of classes.

Registration for the Elite Competition Teams at Dance Elite will open on June 1st. Choreography clinics and auditions for the Teams will be held on July 9-11. So exciting!! If you’d like more information about Competition Dance at Dance Elite, please send us an email or give us a call!

The Elite Company dancers had a terrific weekend of competition at Ignite in Asheville, NC! Despite having a dancer go out with an injury just 6 days before the competition and scrambling to teach other girls the routines to replace her, they all did a fantastic job! And thankfully, our injured dancer is recovering nicely!
