He holds a Master of Fine Arts in Imaging Arts/Photography from the RIT (2009). I am a multimedia artist, educator, and curator specializing in photographic processes, discourses, and interdisciplinary practices. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Rutgers University (1998), a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Studio Arts from Studio Arts Center International (SACI) in Florence, Italy (20
02), and a Master of Fine Arts in Imaging Arts/Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology (2009). Throughout my career, I’ve worked across both commercial and academic sectors. Early on, I managed Jackson Hole Custom Color Lab in Wyoming and served as a museum preparator at the George Eastman House International Museum of Photography in Rochester, NY, during my graduate studies. From 2010 to 2020, I worked with RIT’s global programs in Europe, teaching photography, graphic design, and web design, while also holding key service and administrative roles, including Chair of Academic Senate, Director for Media Programs and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Today, I continue to actively engage with local and international artistic communities, and I currently reside in my home state of New Jersey. My artistic work focuses on exploring latent communications, navigating the balance between intended meanings and the symbols that lie beneath the surface. My personal experiences—from the death of a close friend to the discovery of new literature—inform my practice across various mediums, though photographic discourses remain central. My work has been featured in multiple national and international juried exhibitions, including two-time inclusion in the New Jersey Arts Annual, The Royal Photographic Society International Photography Exhibition, The Academy Art Museum, The Finger Lakes Exhibition (New York’s upstate biennale), as well as at venues such as Herron School of Art and Design, The University of Texas, the SOHO Photo gallery, and the Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts. I’ve exhibited my work globally, with shows in Serbia, France, Italy, the UK, China, Australia, South America, and across the United States. Some of my recent and upcoming exhibitions include displays at the Rusteberg Gallery at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, the Epperson Gallery in California, the Emerge Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina, and The Naturalist Gallery in New York City. I also have an upcoming publication in Full Bleed, a publication produced by the Maryland Institute College of Art, which highlights my ongoing contribution to artistic discourse. Beyond exhibitions, I am actively involved in art and design education. I’ve lectured on a wide range of topics, including art education, institutional critique, and community design. My leadership extends to service roles, including being a member of the College of Reviewers for The Design Journal (a Taylor and Francis publication), a design consultant for Community Design Rochester, a board member for Stacion, Center for Contemporary Art in Kosovo, and a former board member of Open Data Kosovo. In addition to my exhibitions and scholarly work, I’ve been honored with numerous grants and fellowships, including awards from the NJ State Council on the Arts, Lakeland Bank, First Energy Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Open Society Foundations.
