Located just outside of Ocala, Fl, Pleasant Acres is a beautiful 225-acre farm owned by Joseph and Helen Barbazon. Nestled among lush pasture land and majestic live oaks, our award-winning facility was ranked third in the nation for leading breeders in 2009. Established in 1983, our full-service commercial breeding facility houses a 28-stall training barn, a three-quarter-mile training track and a

n eight-stall stallion barn. We provide our clients with world-class services by representing all facets of the Thoroughbred industry including breeding, mare care, yearling and weanling care, training and sales representation. We’ve been home to the 2009 Florida Broodmare of the Year, 2009 Florida Turf Champion of the Year, Multiple Stakes Winners, and the 2009 Florida Horse of the Year, Presious Passion. Our farm has been honored by the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners’ Association as the 2009 Florida Breeder of the Year, in addition to being awarded the 2008 Needles Award for Outstanding Small Breeder. Launched in 2014, our new stallion division is poised to bring Florida Thoroughbred breeding and racing to the forefront of our industry. We’re committed to bringing some of the most sought-after bloodlines to the state to give Florida-based mares a chance to breed with top-rated stallions with proven track records. Our unique hands-on approach to stallion acquisition, breeding, and training allows our owners to work closely alongside our team. Joseph and Helen are involved in every aspect of our operations – from feeding to breading and training. Their comment to quality is what allows Pleasant Acres to pursue our passion for breeding champions.

Meet another addition to the Pleasant Acres Stallions' Class of 2026!

Our very own 2021 Florida Freshman Sire of the Year – NEOLITHIC – never disappoints. This extraordinary foal is out of DELPHINIA (KY), a mare who wasted zero time making her mark! She placed in her debut, broke her maiden second time out, then stepped straight into black type with a win in the Cincinnati Trophy Stakes — all in just three starts!

NEOLITHIC produces stakes horses in every crop — a level of consistency that sets him apart and keeps breeders coming back. This foal's dam is proof of that loyalty! When DELPHINIA's 2025 NEOLITHIC foal hit the ground looking the part, she was bred back to him for another future winner!

Next on our list of "Class of 2026" foals is this exciting youngster by MR FISK, out of the precocious Enjoy Yourself (Sir Percy) — who wasted no time proving her talent! She broke her maiden first asking, placed 3rd in the Chelsey Flower Stakes (Black Type) at Belmont Park, finished 2nd in the Grade 3 Florida Oaks at Tampa Bay, and added another black type effort with a 3rd in the Drumtop Stakes at Suffolk Downs. She's been just as impressive in the breeding shed — producing 3 winners from 4 starters with progeny earnings approaching $350,000. THEN....she had a date with the ONLY son of ARROGATE standing in Florida. :) We can't wait to watch this one develop!
