A Small Tribute to a Wonderful Woman

Many may have noticed we’ve had a few unscheduled closures over the last week and a half. This is because after a year and a half of frequent medical emergencies and round-the-clock care, we lost our beloved grandmother. All who met her knew she loved people. While not herself a quilter, she also loved color, patterns, and fabric. Coming to the quilt shop was a favorite pastime, and (second only to church) this was the place she most requested to come during her final illness. When she was well, fabric shipments were the highlight of her week, and she’d beg us to wait for her and let her help get the fabric on the shelves.

We were blessed to be her granddaughters and blessed to be able to care for her through the end of her life. Thank you to everyone who has reached out, sent flowers, or even brought food. Quilters are some of the best and kindest people. 💕
