The building is also home to WVU's College of Creative Arts and Media. The Creative Arts Center is comprised of the performance areas:

Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre – 1412 seat Continental style theatre
Gladys G. Falbo Theatre – 104 seat black box style theatre
Bloch Learning and Performance Hall – 155 seat recital hall
Vivian Davis Michael Laboratory Theatre – 50 seat theatre

ibits are presented in the Paul and Laura Mesaros Galleries adjacent to the Douglas O. Blaney Lobby of the facility. The CAC is further comprised by nine conventional classrooms, five computer labs, eight visual art studios, ceramics shops, sculpture shops, theatre wood and paint shops, theatre costume shop, dark rooms, dressing rooms, ensemble lab, movement lab, and private offices and studios for the 125 faculty and staff of the WVU College of Creative Arts. University and external groups may rent performance and support spaces in the CAC pending facility and staff availability. All groups are assessed a fee based upon resources utilized, including space, equipment, and labor. The wait is over… The WVU College of Creative Arts and Media is thrilled to announce the 2026-27 season of the WVU University Arts Series!

The University Arts Series features nationally touring performances in the intimate setting of the WVU Canady Creative Arts Center Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre. The 2026-27 season will be announced July 1: Join our mailing list to be the first to know!
