Are you seeking activities for your little ones? WVU Community Music Program has a great opportunity for kids with ages between 4 and 7 years old! MINISINGERS is a class designed to give little children their first exposure to the choral world. This class advances young children on with their continued music explorations, beyond Early Childhood classes. Minisingers will help youngsters begin to develop a sense of community and team work besides all the fun they will experience with new friends! Classes starts on June 3rd, Monday from 4:30 to 5:15 pm - early bird registration ends on May 31st.

Two Children's Choral classes are about to begin!!!Morgantown Children’s Choral class welcomes kids from 7 to 10 years of age to choral singing. And Minisingers will accept children ages 4 to 7. These courses will provide young singers with the opportunity to learn music reading, and will offer thorough contact to the musical score, thus preparing children for a successful musical education. The classes will introduce all sorts of musical styles and genres, and can act as ‘stepping stones’ for future participation in the prestigious Morgantown Youth Choir. Both courses meet on Mondays beginning September 10, Minisingers at 4:30, Children's Choir at 5:10pm at the WVU Creative Arts Center. The 2 choral classes will be offered performance time on MYC Youth Choir concerts and other possible events throughout the term. Two of our choir members from Russia, Maria and Olga, decided to brighten our Director’s day up by bringing her a floral crown at this past Thursday’s practice! They have been in the U.S. for almost 10 years, and are not only lovely singers, but also experienced dancers and pianists! They love to draw, cook, and build robots and rockets in their spare time. We love having them in our choir! 🎶

Anna Brusoe is 13 years old and is one of the MCYC pianists. On April 2018, she had her debut as soloist with the Morgantown Community Orchestra under the direction of André Januário. Congratulations, Anna!
