DOLLY DAY update. We're going to postpone this event until we can get the right people involved, and do it proper. We were a little hasty in our grief, and want to wait until we can put together a grand tribute to our Queen and Patron Saint. We WILL BE OPEN on Saturday, and probably spin a few records in her honor, but the big DOLLY DAY will be celebrated a little down the road. Thank you all so much. Keep an eye out!

THIS WEEK: We've got FIRST FRIDAY coming up on Sept. 4th. Art, Titanium Anodization Demo, Captain Catfeesh! It's going to be a great night. We'll be open on Saturday, but we're going to reschedule our Dolly Day celebration, so we can do it right.

NEXT WEEK: Huge Saturday, Sept.12 with a SECOND SATURDAY Market going from 12-5pm, and then the incredible ADDED COLOR will again grace our stage with local support from Escape Plan 79 and Better Off As Animals! 🏳️‍🌈 SAVE THE DATE — NOVEMBER 14 🏳️‍⚧️

It’s officially time to soft launch this year’s Gender-Affirming Haircut Event! ✂️💜

On November 14 from 11 AM–4 PM, I’ll be hosting our annual event at Morgantown Art Party, offering FREE gender-affirming haircuts to members of our local LGBTQ+ community.

I already have three amazing stylists volunteering alongside me, with names and more details coming soon!

We’ll be accepting walk-ins, but appointments are strongly encouraged. Once our books are full, we won’t be able to accommodate additional walk-ins, so please email ahead to guarantee your spot.

I’m also looking for local businesses, artists, makers and community members who want to get involved. We’re accepting raffle prizes, gift certificates, finger foods, refreshments, donated goods and, of course, anyone interested in volunteering their time or talents.

One of my favorite parts of this event is seeing just how much our little corner of West Virginia shows up for our trans and LGBTQ+ neighbors. If you’re a local business owner looking for a tangible way to show your support, this is a wonderful opportunity to do it. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

And speaking of showing up, a HUGE thank you to my friend Gina, who volunteered her time and talent to create these beautiful flyers for us. 💜 No water was wasted and AI had no part in the making of these flyers. Just a talented real-life human supporting her community.

At the end of the day, that’s what this event is about: people showing up for people. 💜

Edit: We're going to postpone this event. In our grief and shock, we jumped the gun a little bit, and we're going to take our time to make sure we can put together a proper tribute to our Queen.
