We still have craft vendor booths available for this year's Morganton Festival, and we want your unique talents in our lineup. Whether you knit, sculpt, paint, or create things we haven't even dreamed of yet, there is a spot with your name on it.

Drum roll please....... This year's Morganton Festival poster is REVEALED! Gus the Groundhog has turned into your favorite video game character. Check out the details below!

This is the 44th year of the Morganton Festival! This year's festival design transforms Gus the Groundhog into an 8-bit hero, bringing our beloved mascot into a nostalgic, 8-bit retro gaming universe. The concept showcases our favorite furry friend preparing for the big weekend by playing himself as the main character; jumping, exploring, and stomping through iconic local Morganton landmarks. The pixelated journey begins right in the heart of the city.

Gus is training for the festival's return, and he is ready to invite the whole community along for the 2026 adventure. With the sun shining on his ninth year as mascot, Gus dashes through Natures Playground, bounding across the music stage, Table Rock Mountain, floating platforms, and leaping over vendor tents. He finishes the stage by hopping up to slide down the flag pole, just in time to signal musical fireworks around the Historic Burke County Courthouse as he gets fully powered up for the main event, The Morganton Festival.

Grab your lawn chairs, blankets, and your favorite people because the 2026 TGIF Summer Concert Series Presented by Case Farms kicks off May 1st at the Historic Courthouse Square!

Every Friday night in May, June, and July (except July 4), downtown will come alive with great music, local food vendors, refreshing beverages, and an amazing community atmosphere. From beach music and country to rock, soul, and Motown—there’s something for everyone under the summer sky! 🌙✨
