At the heart of Morgan Hill artist Janet Vanderhoof's practice is a deep connection to origins; the seen and unseen forces that shape who we are.

Her latest series, Ancestry, was sparked by a DNA test that revealed a previously unknown Irish heritage. She had been long drawn to Celtic symbols, only to find those same symbols echoed in Sicily, as if her bloodlines had been speaking to each other all along. For Janet, Ancestry is both a physical and spiritual journey into the full truth of one's existence. ☘️🤩🖼️
