The studios open for the first day back to dance on Tuesday, September 8th, 2026 for year #48...

Do not sleep on this as most of our classes do tend to fill up immediately which to be fair is why its first come, first serve and we do not hold any spots. Set your reminder and be ready to go... Maybe even check out our Sawyer online platform prior and have your account ready to go!

47 YEARS OF DANCE, MEMORIES & MAGIC...❤️🖤🤍

We may be a little late sharing this one…but some moments are simply too special not to celebrate! Back in June, we proudly took the stage for our 47th Annual Recital, and what an incredible weekend it was!

From our littlest dancers taking the stage with those big smiles, to our graduating seniors soaking in some of their final recital moments, and every dancer in between... our hearts were SO FULL. There is something so incredibly special about recital weekend. It’s the culmination of an entire year of learning, growing, working hard, building confidence, making friendships, and creating memories inside the studio…and then getting to watch it all come to life on stage. And then, in true Lana’s Dance Studio fashion, we barely had time to unpack our costumes because just NINE DAYS LATER, the compeittion teams we were off traveling to Nationals! Needless to say, summer took off at full speed and somehow these beautiful recital memories never made their way onto our social media.

But our 47th Annual Recital absolutely deserves its moment.
To our dancers — we are SO proud of you. Watching you shine on that stage and seeing the joy, confidence, growth, and love of dance that you brought to every performance is exactly why we do what we do.

To our incredible teachers and staff — thank you for the countless hours, creativity, patience, love, and dedication you pour into our dancers and our studio.

And to our dance families — THANK YOU for another wonderful year. For trusting us with your children, supporting them through rehearsals and performances, and continuing to be such an important part of this dance family and village we love so much.
47 recitals. 47 years of traditions. 47 years of dancers walking through our doors and leaving a little piece of their hearts behind.
We never take for granted how special that is.

So before we officially turn the page and begin another exciting year at Lana’s Dance Studio, we’re taking one more look back at a weekend we will always treasure. Here’s to our beautiful 47th Annual Recital and all the memories made along the way.

A lot of us have spent this day in a little bit of disbelief that today marks 10 years since we lost such a very special person in our dance village. No words really come to mind that could ever be enough to describe the grief of losing you; grief that can still feel like it happened yesterday, let alone ten years ago.

To our sweetest Jp, your presence is still felt within our walls, and we know you continue to watch over us. We know all of our wonderful dancers make your heart beam with so much pride, as do all of our alumni who have continued on through the years carrying you with them in their hearts and minds.

We know you hear the TEAMJP chant that our Hip Hop teams do before they take the stage every single time. And we know that watching them win Showcase this past July—for the second time—had to be a little extra special for you. A program they picked up, carried forward, and continue on in your name.

Thank you for leaving us a legacy... one that is still felt so strongly all these years later... How lucky are we to have loved someone so much that it still hurts this bad!

And how truly special of a person you were to have been loved by so, so many, inside and outside of this dance studio. Never forgotten, sweetheart. Never.

TEAMJP will continue to live on forever, and we hope to always honor your name as we march forward doing what you loved most...DANCING!

We've been busy little bee's finalizing the 48th Fall Program Schedule of weekly educational classes at both our Morgan Hill & Gilroy Studio locations that will begin the week of September 8th...

With nearly 50 classes to choose from, we strive to offer lots of options taking both age & levels into account. New classes this season that we are super excited to announce. Always striving to offer new and improved formats and different genres of classes.

The dreaded day of the "final" day has come and gone... We have to shout out again how truly proud we are of these 6 incredible Senior Graduates of ours before we head to their final National competition. We love this tradition started so long ago, the "last photo in the lobby," in their college apparel; where they will be spending the next handful of years discovering and exploring where the next path will take them.

We will all be cheering you on and cannot wait to see what's next for each of you! We know you will come and visit your second home when you are back in town and just know we will forever be in your corners for anything that comes your way...

Our beautiful “GRADUATED” SENIOR CLASS OF 2026!!! These 6 phenomenal young ladies have been the most incredible leaders this season. Leading by example in so many ways… It has been a blessing to be in their lives and have them grow with us! 

Now officially Alumni, we are so excited to watch these last few weeks with you at our recitals and as we prepare for Nationals. It’s always so bittersweet and we will be cherishing every last moment. Congratulations on wonderful ceremonies and graduation parties; it’s been an honor celebrating with you all!

-Briella just graduated from presentation high school in San Jose and will be attending Drexel University- majoring in criminology and justice studies on pre med track.

-Rosalie graduated from Christopher High and will be attending UC Irvine where she will be studying Education Sciences.

-Miyah graduated from Christopher High School and is headed to San Jose State University - majoring in Psychology.

-Izzy, Graduated from Christopher High School and is headed to Evergreen Valley College - majoring in Nursing.

-Milan graduated from Christopher High School and is headed to Pepperdine University in the Fall majoring in Biology.

-Elana just graduated from Ann Sobrato High School in Morgan Hill and is headed to University of San Francisco - majoring in Kinesiology.

For 12 years we had the pleasure of having this beautiful soul grow up at our dance studio. From the young tender hearted child to the mature young adult you blossomed into. We have watched your dedication, discipline, perseverance, and passion shine year after year. The long rehearsals, competitions, challenges, victories, and countless hours of hard work have all led to this incredible moment for you. But more than the accomplishments, we are most proud of the person you have become — kind, humble, driven, and full of heart.

That dedication led you to the tough decision of boarding high school at Santa Catalina in Monterey, Ca and with that grueling schedule, not being able to compete with your team to finish out your high school years. As heart breaking as that was, we wanted to support you and knew your academic goals to land at USC just like your older sister had done… And that you did!!! Now to see you continuing your love of dance in college and specifically on this elite team is so exciting! You are our first ever USC Song Leader and we cannot wait to cheer you on in this next adventure.

USC is so lucky to have you on their team representing their prestigious university and community! We cannot wait to watch you on the sidelines dancing your heart out and getting to travel for so many sporting and school events. Congratulations from your Lana’s Dance Studio family… Go Sophie Go!!! Fight On!!!
