Tradition is at the heart of everything we do and some span generations!

Over the years, many families have shared the honor of serving as King and Queen. This year, our 2026 Queen carries forward a truly special family legacy—following in the footsteps of her grandmother : Ann Giordano Roy, Queen 1956, her mother Joellen Frances Roy Fuhrer, Queen 1991, and her cousin Hailee Ann Thomas, Queen 2014, all of whom shared the honor to serve as Queen of the Louisiana Shrimp and Petroleum Festival.

A legacy like this is what makes Festival history so meaningful!

attended the 2026 Amite Oyster Queens Weekend and Gala in Amite, Louisiana! She began the weekend by visiting the last oyster processing plant in Amite, which is owned by Queen Sarah’s grandfather; Amite Oysters LLC. Next, she had lunch at Mike’s Catfish then visited the Mulberry Tree and went shopping. A tour was given at Liuzza Land, and taught her the importance of buying Louisiana fresh produce

Later that evening she attended the 2026 Amite Oyster Festival Gala Royalty, where the 2026 Festival Royalty was honored!

On Sunday, we attended mass at St. Helena Catholic Church and had a brunch honoring Queen Sarah at the Oyster House!
