The North Carolina Seafood Festival may be over, but we’re just getting started celebrating National Seafood Month!

This Saturday, October 10, the Working Watermen’s Festival returns to Ocracoke, celebrating the island’s commercial fishing heritage and the watermen who continue those traditions today. Proceeds from this year’s event will help fund a new roof for the Ocracoke Seafood Company.

If you’re headed to Ocracoke this weekend, this is a great way to keep the seafood celebration going while supporting North Carolina’s working waterfronts and commercial fishing community.

Proceeds from this year’s Working Watermen’s Festival on Saturday, Oct. 10, will go towards the purchase of a new roof for the Ocracoke Seafood Company, known locally as the Fish House. 👏 A huge thank you to the incredible nonprofit organizations, churches, schools and community groups who helped make the 40th Annual North Carolina Seafood Festival possible!

Each year, these groups help staff our soda, product and ride booths throughout NCSF weekend, and in return, we’re proud to give a portion of NCSF's net proceeds back to the organizations that serve our community. Those funds help support everything from school programs and athletics to mission trips, classroom needs, church ministries and so much more.

We’re so grateful for every volunteer who showed up, worked hard and helped us welcome thousands of guests to the Morehead City waterfront. The North Carolina Seafood Festival truly takes a community, and we couldn’t do it without you!
