Hey friends! Passing info about a couple of of Folklorico conferences!

Danzantes Unidos 2020 April 3-5 in Fresno, CA! Early registration of $95 ends this Friday, January 17, 2020 and then goes up to $110. Ask fellow BFG members, some have been able to attend this conference in the past! Super fun way to learn and network with other folklorists. https://danzantes.org/registration/classes/

Asociacion Nacional de Grupos Folkloricos (ANGF) 2020! Taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada! A week long conference similar to DUF. Another great conference to attend! https://angfdance.com

Hi all, ALOT has been added onto the End the Silence google doc this past weekend so I just want to encourage you all to look at it to stay in the loop. At the end of the doc you'll now find:
-A detailed schedule for Thursday's (5/5) walkout
-Ways to show solidarity if you cannot be there
-The email to send to professors if you will be missing class for the walkout

Hello All, I am proposing that the walkout that we talked about on Saturday be pushed to next Thursday 4/5 in order for this to be organized and publicized effectively.

If you are/ want to be on a committee I advise that you put your name in the Google Doc under the committee you would like to be on immediately and contact/ meet up with who ever else is listed ASAP. Here is the link to the Doc:

Pushing the walkout to next week will give us a bit more time, but it will take the initiative and cooperation of ALL of us to get this done.
