Dahlias are coming in hot and heavy!! ❤💐
Due to personal events occurring this weekend the Farm Stand will be closed. However, I AM TAKING ORDERS this weekend 8/14-8/16 for pick up at the farm stand at 381 New Rd. Sterling, CT. 🐞 Sometimes the best gardener knows when to step aside.

My heliopsis (false sunflower) has been absolutely covered with red aphids this summer. These tiny sap-sucking pests are common on heliopsis, and despite several attempts to blast them off with water, they just kept multiplying...and even spread to another patch.

Last night, I finally decided it was time to reach for the insecticidal soap. But just before I started spraying, I spotted a tiny hero—a ladybug. 🐞

That little discovery changed my plans. Instead of spraying, I decided to let nature do what it does best and give the ladybugs a chance to tackle the aphid buffet.

This is Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in action—observing first, using the least disruptive solution, and letting beneficial insects do the heavy lifting whenever possible.

Now the waiting game begins! 🤞🐞 I'll be keeping a close eye on the ladybugs and cheering them on.

🚣 "We're gonna need a bigger boat!" 🤣💐

Well...maybe not a boat, but I definitely needed a bigger flower cooler!

Thanks to a little help from Facebook Marketplace, I'd like you to say hello to my little friend! 🤗❄️

It may not be a walk-in cooler (yet 😉), but it's a HUGE upgrade from the little side-by-side refrigerator I've been squeezing flowers into (check out the last photo!).

Here's to fresher flowers, more blooms, and one more step forward for Nature's Creations by Rebecca. 🌸❤️

Every little upgrade helps this small flower farm continue to grow. Thank you all for making milestones like this possible!

💐 My heart (and flower buckets) are full! 💐

A huge THANK YOU to my family, friends, loyal repeat customers, and everyone who stopped by to support Nature's Creations by Rebecca at Nickle Creek Vineyard on July 26 and the Putnam Saturday Farmers Market on August 1.

Every bouquet purchased, kind word shared, smile exchanged, and conversation had means more than you know. Growing a small business takes a lot of hard work, but your encouragement and support remind me exactly why I love what I do.
