Confession: I didn’t actually make it to the thrift store today. 🤣

BUT I did help load an entire truck full of goodies from storage to be hauled over! && Kinsey finished that magic for me!

Today was spent working on the POS system, designing the website, creating accounts, redesigning the business card ( still no), rewriting my never-ending to-do list (for the 47th time), and getting ready for tomorrow night’s Longest Open House live auction at 9:30 PM!

And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I had one of those HOLY S**T, IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING?! moments.

Because it is. It’s actually happening.

There’s so much excitement, so much happening behind the scenes, and approximately 600 things I still need to do. Some days I feel like I could conquer the world, and other days I wonder who decided there should only be 24 hours in a day.

But this is heart work. The kind that fills your cup and completely drains your battery all at the same time. And I wouldn’t trade it.

I snapped these pictures yesterday BEFORE I went back, unloaded another entire load, and tore the place apart all over again. So if you think it’s starting to look like a store, just know it currently looks like a tornado came through. AGAIN.

But we’re getting there, folks. WE ARE REALLY GETTING THERE!!! 🧡🪎

And I cannot freaking wait to open those doors and show you what we’ve been building.

Meet the OG. 🪴 The very FIRST plant to call thrifted. home! I named her Shannaan.

My sweet friend Shannon gifted us with this beauty last night as a congratulations gift, and I couldn’t love it more!

And since we’re talking plants… 👀🌿 this is the perfect time to mention we’ll also have a little plant & prop section inside the store! Because I love plants & swapping .. & plants make the world go round. 🤣 More details on that part of the adventure coming soon!

Are we done painting? No! 🤣 Sometimes it all has to happen at once! This place will be packed top to bottom with boxes, racks, and supplies in less than 3 hours. Then, more painting, organizing, and bringing it all together! So Exciting!!

🔑 I GOT THE KEYS!!!

After what feels like approximately 84 years of searching for a spot that actually feels like my thrifty little home… we found it. 🥹

And somehow, it landed me right where I belong — MOORHEAD! 🧡

thrifted! is officially coming to Moorhead, across from M&H and right by Grand Junction!

Honestly, it feels pretty damn fitting. Moorhead has been my home since 2010, and now I get to dig my roots in a little deeper and build something here that I’ve been dreaming about for a LONG time.

The goal?
A modern thrift shop packed with nostalgic finds, unexpected treasures & clothing for every era — Nostalgic & Now. ✌️

But even more than that, I want to build a place that feels like community. A place to thrift, hang out, find weird s**t you absolutely did not come in for, discover something that immediately transports you back 20 years, and leave wondering how you somehow needed everything you bought. 😂

And now that I have the keys, what’s next?

🎨 PAINT. EVERYTHING.

Like… a concerning amount of orange and avocado green may be entering the chat. 😂

I cannot WAIT to bring you along while I turn this big empty space into the colorful, nostalgic, slightly weird, community-filled thrift store that has been living in my head.

Moorhead, we’re home. 🔑🧡

Now let’s build one hell of a thrift store.
