Choral Reflection:

As a graduating sophomore , being part of the choir has been a transformative experience that enriched my journey at MDCC. Through countless rehearsals and performances, I developed a deep appreciation for music and teamwork. Choir taught me valuable skills such as discipline, communication, and collaboration, as we worked together to create harmonious performances. The friendships I formed and the memories we made during practices and performances will always hold a special place in my heart. As I move forward, I carry the lessons of commitment and creativity from choir into my future endeavors, knowing that the power of music will always connect us.

Congratulations Kelsey! 🎓

Choral Reflection:
These last two years with the choir have been amazing. I have made strong bonds either people I have and haven’t met before. Coming forward with meeting people can be hard because I’m such an introvert, but I can honestly say that the people I have met have opened me up more. At performances, we feed off of each others energy and the sound is magnificent! I love this choir family so much.

Congratulations Jamiyah! 🎓

“Good times won’t last forever; however, cherish them in every way and in every moment.”

Being a part of MDCC’s choir under the direction of Mr. Harvey Jackson Jr. has been nothing short of amazing. My time in this incredible choir has shaped me into the leader, student, and individual I am today. I am overwhelmed with gratitude and joy as I reflect on the many memories, performances, and even the occasional disagreements over the past two years.

I am deeply thankful for the opportunity, but even more grateful to leave something meaningful behind.

I’m excited to see what the choir—and MDCC as a whole—will achieve in the coming year.

With love and continued support,

Eugene B. P. Jr.

Congratulations Eugene! 🎓

Under the direction of Mr. Harvey Jackson Jr., I have enjoyed the opportunity to engage & express myself freely. He has pushed me to grow concerning not only on a musical level, but a personal level as well. I will always cherish the memories & meaningful lessons learned!

Wow, wow… what an incredible two years it’s been amazing being a part of the MDCC Choir!

There’s so much I could say, but I’ll start with a huge thank you to Mr. Jackson. Thank you for allowing me to be myself, for believing in me, and for giving me the chance to be a part of something so special.

My first year in choir was both challenging and amazing—it pushed me, shaped me, and brought unforgettable moments. My second year was smoother and full of joy, but nothing will ever compare to that unforgettable first year!

I’m truly going to miss the memories I’ve made with the baddest choir in the community college game. MDCC Choir will always have a special place in my heart.

Congratulations Joshua! 👨🏾‍🎓

Choral Reflection:
Being in choir at Mississippi Delta Community College for the past two years has truly changed my life. It gave me a place where I felt accepted and understood, which really helped me come out of my shell. I’ve made some amazing friends who feel more like family now. Singing together and performing at events gave me confidence I didn’t know I had. Choir has been one of the best parts of my college experience, and I’m so grateful for my choir members and to Mr. Jackson himself for giving me the opportunity and support I never knew I needed.

Congratulations Jamayia! 🎓
