Lots of COLD weather ahead this week! Are you ready?

CAR:
✔️Put a blanket, flashlight and water /snacks in your car in Case you break down, especially at night.
✔️Make sure there is at least a half tank of gas or more in your car all week.
✔️Keep an ice scraper handy in case your windows are frosty.

HOME:
✔️Have gas for a generator and a space heater in case you lose power overnight. Keep extra blankets and flashlights easily accessible.
✔️Make sure pets are ready for these frigid overnight temperatures.
✔️Put a heat lamp in your well house.
✔️If you have older windows, roll a towel and place in front of the window sill to help keep heat from sucking out the window. (If your windows are really old/leak air, consider covering completely with plastic (sold at Lowe’s) to help keep insulated.)
✔️Open cupboard doors under sinks and where pipes are located to allow air to keep pipes warmer.

I am thankful for an prosperous year and an over abundance of food.

Does anyone know a single mom that could use a 14.8 pound frozen turkey? My family does not even eat Turkey! I bought it today for crazy cheap thinking someone could use it. Even if they don’t use it for Thanksgiving, it would make a family a nice couple of meals at a later time. It is frozen.

On this day, we painfully remember 9/11, where we were, watching, waiting and how we felt the day the towers were attacked. We remember the families who lost their loved ones and the heroes who died fighting to save people. Every year this is a painful day. As I’m crying watching the end of a heartfelt video replaying the events and 911 calls, the video ends and the next video comes on...

This video, of babies. Adorable silly babies. It reminded me to be thankful for what we have. Embrace those I love so dear. Find joy in the little things. We are NOT promised tomorrow. So live like there is no tomorrow.
