This 20th century work available soon on is by artist Oswaldo Guayasamin (1919-1999), titled “Mother and Child”, or better known as “El Abrazo”, is part of his series “While I Live I Remember You”- or also called "Tenderness"- which includes approximately 100 works that the artist painted between 1988 and 1999. This entire series refers to and honors the love of his mother and all the mothers in the world who fight every day to defend their human rights and to defend the territories where they live.
