BEGINNER-FRIENDLY CLASS:
Some basic watercolor experience is required for this class. However, if you have never painted in watercolor before, I am able to spend some extra time bringing some newbie students up to speed while the more experienced painters work on their paintings.

Supplies aren't included, but a great value "watercolor start kit" is available for only $30...see details below.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN IN THIS CLASS:
- Start and finish an in-depth, 8×10″ watercolor painting of red poppies!
- Warmup with a fun and easy 5×7″ painting. This will provide loose practice for skills like wet-on-wet, blending, timing and thickness of paint.
- Learn a few specific watercolor techniques we’ll be using in the larger painting.
- Follow along as I show you the 3-step watercolor process using different values: light, medium, dark.
- Drawing template is provided (and optional) for tracing or copying.
- Color reference photos of red poppies are provided. More practiced painters: Feel free to bring your own color reference photos to create your own unique compositions.

** WATERCOLOR STARTER KIT AVAILABLE FOR $30.

KIT INCLUDES: $10 of quality paints including masking fluid and white gouache, $5 of quality paper and scrap paper, $5 hardboard, and $10 curated 6-brush set, and the entire set is available for an additional $30 only. Individual items can be purchased ala-cart...PLEASE NOTE: Students purchasing this kit will still need to bring the “Misc. Supplies from Home“, which are listed in the Student Supply List.
