Georgia O'Keeffe - Check out the PBS documentary on her: https://youtu.be/UGpWPfVHjxE?si=FbHFD452YhYZ8m8d.

We will be creating a simplified watercolor version of her oil painting "Ram's Head with White Hollyhock Hills" from 1935. And chat a bit about her spicy letters to Stieglitz.

Learn about her compositions, watercolor techniques, and have a cup of tea while we spill the tea on Georgia O'Keeffe.

I’m a local watercolor artist and instructor with a BFA in Painting and Drawing, and one of my favorite parts of teaching is helping people understand how to approach a painting. Rather than simply demonstrating and having you follow along, I break the painting down step-by-step and explain the watercolor techniques, color choices, shapes, and values that will help make your painting successful.

October date added!

Hi everyone!

I wanted to go ahead and send out the dates for our September and beginning of October watercolor project. I’m still working on my sample, but I thought I’d give you a peek at the original Georgia O’Keeffe painting that inspired it!
We’ll be creating a simplified watercolor version, and I’ll take you step-by-step through the painting and techniques.
