Yesterday was opening day for the Reject Show at Douglas Flanders & Associates and it was an honor to be around so much talent. I met Erik Espeland - Art & Illustration the man whose photograph inspired my painting. He is so talented. If you get a chance, check out this exhibition.

Ta-da!!!!! I have several Junk Journals with the new/vintage look ready for upcoming shows! Each journal is unique and no one is alike. Each is embellished with whimsical doo-dads but leaves enough space for you to add your own creativity. I made the Startribune paper as a reject.

Creator Doug Flanders died in November but the third annual “Reject Show” goes on, providing more opportunities for local artists.

Today was a good day to be a loser. I may have been "rejected" by the State Fair Fine Arts but the Douglas Flanders & Associates accepted me today for their upcoming "Reject Show". I feel like a winner today! Thanks!
