In 1973 Fred Wilber opened what was to be a Book and Music store called Buch Spieler and over time the shop manifested into a premier music institution in Vermont's capitol. Fred did the impossible and sustained, out living the fleeting replay formatting trends from vinyl to cassette to CD to MP3 and back to vinyl. inyl in the little village of Cherry Valley located in Upstate New York. Knayte, one of the founders of the State & Main record label, also a talented and busy musician who had a solid 12 year history of selling vinyl in various record stores invited Xav to lunch at the Three Penny Taproom. Quickly the two shared an affinity for collecting vinyl of all speeds and styles and after meeting Fred the concept of merging both shops was born. October 1 2014 Fred and Knayte welcomed Xav and XAVWAX aboard and together they reaffirmed Buch Spieler's commitment to vinyl with a tripled in size inventory. March 31 2015 Fred sold Knayte and Xav the keys to his wonderful creation. We are Buch Spieler Records. Always buying, selling, trading new and used vinyl all day everyday. Get set up!
