At the requests of some friends, I am posting these copies of illustrations that I gave the late author Ray Bradbury as gifts on his birthday through most of the 1990s. I have been reluctant to post them in the past, as the stories these drawings illustrate are Mr. Bradbury’s intellectual property. I ask you to respect this please. Enjoy looking at my artwork, but please do not reproduce these images out of respect for an amazing author who was kind enough to answer my mail (I include facsimiles of some of his letters – copies that were readily available to me when I scanned them a few years ago) and to encourage me with my own writing. I was very blessed to enjoy correspondence with this kind man.

I consider these to be works in progress; a buddy of mine just happened to photograph them with his phone’s camera yesterday. I’ll try to post finished versions of them here sometime soon, I hope. They are color and pen and ink versions of copies made from the same penciled original. They accompany a young adult science fiction novel I began writing in 2006 as part of my doctoral program. I hope to finish it someday. I hope you enjoy them as some samples of my more recent work.
