Senior Spotlight 🎉 Meet Jeremy!
How long have you been dancing at CD&FS?
This is my 8th year at CD&FS!
Do you remember your first ever dance class? What was it like?
My first ever dance class was Jr Hip-Hop 1-2 with Rose. I remember the class was very big but it was a lot of fun and the first dance I ever performed.
What is your favorite dance memory here?
I've had a lot of moments at the studio but the ones I've enjoyed the most have always been with my friends. Last year after one of the shows on Teen Jazz's tour, we all went back to the studio to eat lunch and everyone was just laughing and talking about our performances, which are some of the moments I will miss the most at CD&FS.
Was there a particular performance that you enjoyed the most? Why?
My favorite performance was in 9th grade on my first tour with Teen Jazz. More specifically, the show at Union Elementary School because it was such a sentimental moment for me. I remember when I was in elementary school and I saw Teen Jazz perform for the first time and I was so impressed and realized I wanted to start dance. Being on that stage years later as the performer and watching the kids' faces light up was such a full circle moment to my younger self because at one point, I was in that audience.
What will you miss about CD&FS?
I'm definitely going to miss my friends and teachers the most at CD&FS.
What is a piece of advice you want to give to younger dancers at the studio?
Always be your most authentic self and don't let anyone try to change that.
