❤️ Our hearts are absolutely full! Thank you so much to everyone who spent their weekend with us at the Reformed Presbyterian Church of White Lake and the historic Tusten Theatre.

From the bustling streets of Madrid to the enchanted woods of Mendelssohn's A Midsummer Night's Dream, it was an honor to share these intimate arrangements with such a warm, wonderful audience. Music truly comes alive when we get to share it with our community.

Presented by the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA) as part of Upstate Art Weekend, SCCO is bringing Felix Mendelssohn’s enchanted world to life at the historic Tusten Theatre. Come hear the agile woodwinds and shimmering strings of our ensemble take on Boccherini, Debussy, and an exclusive personal arrangement of Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night's Dream suite! 🌸🎻

🎻 Tomorrow is the day! From Spain to the mystical woods of Greece, our bags are packed for a musical journey this weekend, and we want you there with us.

Alongside Mendelssohn, our program features two incredible masterpieces:
🇪🇸 Boccherini’s Night Music of the Streets of Madrid: A vibrant, atmospheric stroll through Spain, complete with cello-strumming that mimics guitars and the lively, theatrical energy of a midnight street scene.
🇫🇷 Debussy’s Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune: Shimmering, dreamlike, and deeply evocative impressionism that will make you feel the warmth of a lazy summer afternoon.
