Brett & Janelle Hermann 💕 18 years strong!

We met in college, stayed best friends for 4 years, dated for 5, and said “I do” in Aug 2008.

We’ve walked through hard seasons — including the pain of not being able to have children — but God redirected our story. On our 15th anniversary we renewed our vows in the British Virgin Islands… and this moment right here was pure magic ✨

In 2023 we built The Gathering Place (TGP) to share with others. We love Jesus and believe this venue is a blessing straight from above.

It’s an honor to watch couples make their lifetime commitment here. Marriage isn’t easy, but it’s so worth it. We pray over every single one of you.

We don’t take these vows lightly — you’re promising forever on our property.

Truth: not when you work with locals who know the weather.

We’re farmers here at The Gathering Place in Central Illinois. We watched the weather patterns closely every single day. That’s why we give couples a clear recommendation 3 to 4 days before the wedding with plenty of time to adjust plans calmly.
