Rusty Beach is like a Swiss Army Knife, he can do it all. He can come from off the pace or do it on the front end; this afternoon it was the latter. Starting from post 5, he wrestled the lead from Smokin Hot Dude past the opening panel of 28 and continued to cut the mile via splits of 57.4 & 1:26.4. At this point Kourageous Key mounted a bold 3 deep move in the paddock turn on the leader. Rusty Beach had 2 lengths on the pack turning for home and that was his winning margin in 1:55.3 - $3.36, Smokin Hot Dude (K. Dibenetto) was second followed by Scribblers (B. Aldrich). It was 11th seasonal win for the 6-year-old gelded son of Betting Line for trainer Richard Dunn, the duo of Richard Dunn & Tommy Merton also scored with Sweet Parlay in the opener in 1:55.3 - $5.35, which is a seasonal mark for the son of Sweet Lou.

Sauvignon Bluechip (K. Dibenedetto) won in 1:56.3 - $14.70 for trainer David Dziengiel for his fifth win on the year. Kyle Dibenedetto & Greg Merton each enjoyed a driving triple while Tommy Merton had a double.

As Howard Oil would say “He would of won if he went around again” that reference was perfect this afternoon during the 8 race card when Stick With Me Kid extended his winning streak 6 straight with Ralph Silvestri III in the bike. Tammy Sowers train the aged gelding, with the win Silvestri is now tied with Tommy Merton with 93 wins, which ties him for 6th place. Silvestri also took the final race of the card aboard his own Ebony Lady 1:58 - $2.34

Sixth place leading trainer Jim Doherty Jr had a banner day, sending out 2 winners from his stable, the first was Savage LP (J. Taggart) 2:00. - $5.02 & Sister Lo (K. Dibenedetto)

Bruce Aldrich Jr. led all drivers this afternoon with a driving triple, he also picked up a training win, Mike Merton had a pair of winning drives and Tammy Sowers had a training double

Greg Decker Jr. continues to climb the ladder in the trainer’s standings, today his Goby Hanover won by a neck in 1:58.1 - $12.76, he is now 1 win away from Danny Gill who is in seventh place.Ralph Silvestri III had a driving double with Parklane Odds in 1:58.1 - $2.10 and Bambino Joe in 2:00. - $4.00.

After a string of second place finishes, Rollover Baythoven reached the winners circle for Owner – Trainer – Driver Daniel Harvey with a 2-length score in 1:58 - $2.16.

Like days of old, former multiple Dash Winning Driver at Monticello Raceway, Jimmy Devaux scored a Grand Slam on the 11 race card and was nosed out for his fifth win in the cards finale He won aboard Silencethewitness in 1:57.4 - $5.35 – Premier Victor 1:58 - $2.52 Cleopanter in 1:58.2 - $4.92 and then with Farmer George in 2:00.1 - $2.38

After scoring 3 wins on yesterday’s card, Kyle Dibenedetto remains red hot, scoring another win this afternoon aboard Mach Silver. Kyle trails Jim Taggart Jr. by just 5 wins for the 4th spot

Jason Ricco scored aboard Promise For Life in 1:59.4 - $25.66, the aged gelding is trained by Robert Lounsbury and scored his second win on the year. Jason Ricco has surpassed Ron Cushing and is in ninth place for leading dash winning drivers with 50 wins .

While Slayin Theday Away (C. Poynton) and Savage LP (J. Taggart Jr.) were locked in a battle on the front end, the 48-1 Simon Got Lucky who was last at one point during the mile was sent 3 deep by driver Michael Merton. Turning for home they were 3 abreast but Simon Got Luckey had a full head of steam and fresh legs was able to get by the 2 tired pace setter to get up for the win in 2:01.3- $96.08 for trainer Robert Lounsbury. Despite being parked, the majority of the mile LP Savage still held on for second place.

Race 6 was declared a No Contest as a pair of horse got tangled up near the 5/8 pole and disrupted and scattered the field, Jimmy Taggart was unseated, happy to report all horse and drivers escaped unscathed.

Stick With Me Kid has extended his winning streak to 5 in a row with Ralph Silvestri III in the bike for trainer Tammy Sowers in 2:01.1 -$2.88. Vicky Everyday (J. Taggart Jr) also extended her win streak to 3 straight, the aged mare is trained by Jennifer Petrelli.
Mike Merton lead all drivers with a double, Jennifer Petrelli & Tammy Sowers also each had a pair of winners on the 9 race card.

The feature race of the day was the $8,100 Open Trot, #4 Southwind Banshee was scratched sick, the betting public made #5 KJ Title the post time favorite , DC Anna (B. Aldrich Jr.) was first away from the gate and cut the mile via splits of 28.1, 57.4 & 1:27.2. Throughout the mile the 15-1 Andover Contessa was quietly lurking in fourth. Turning for home Mike Merton used the passing and began picking off horse after horse to get up for the win in 1:57.1 - $32.84. DC Anna finished second with Austral Hanover getting up for the show positon. Andover Contessa is trained by Jake Huff , the aged mare by Andover hall secured her fourth seasonal win.

There was a Dead heat in the second race between Beentheredunethat (G. Merton) & High Lighting (K. Dibenedetto) in 2:00.1. Captain Dee Tee (G. Merton) kept his win streak alive after his open length win in 1:56 -$2.32. The Jennifer Petrelli trainee now has a 6-race win streak going for his tenth seasonal victory, upping his 2026 earnings to over $50,000; he was claimed by Ralph Silvestri III. Watching Sunset (M. Merton) now has back to back wins after his 1:53.4 - $4.32 score for trainer Jenn Petrelli

Cory Stratton may have a nice c**t with Calculated Risk, the son of Huntsville has shown improvement every week, this afternoon he went wire to wire for his first pari mutual win in 1:56.2 - $64.02, he is owned by Excelsior Equine Racing and Stratton Stable.

Numerous trainers and drivers had doubles or triples on the elongated 11 race card, Greg Merton had a driving triple, Jimmy Devaux. Mike Merton and Kyle Dibenedetto each had a pair of wins. Going into today’s card, Leading Trainers Jennifer Petrelli and Tammy Sowers were tied with 116 win apiece, Jennifer Petrelli had a triple and Tammy Sowers had a double, no doubt this race will go down to the wire, Danny Gill had a double.

When the durable Rusty Beach draws inside, look out, often straddled with an outside post and being forced to unleash his patented 3 deep brush off the paddock turn. This afternoon he used a tactic more to his liking and went wire to wire, scoring by just a head over Kourageous Key (G. Merton) in 1:55.2 -$3.34. It was his tenth seasonal win for trainer Ricard Dunn and upped his yearly earnings to over $65,000.

Sixth place leading driver Tommy Merton, had a banner day with a driving Grand Slam and 1 training win. In addition to the win aboard Rusty Beach + Rock A Honey (T. Merton) he also won with Lupa 1:55.1 -$4.06 and Blackjack Dragon 1:56.2 -$13.54.

The 0-24 Barbara’s Brownie found the winners circle with Bruce Aldrich Jr. in the bike in 2:01.4 -$7.32, the 5-year-old mare is trained by Peter Carney. Faded Future (J. Ricco) went wire to wire for her fourth win on the year in 1:58.3 -$7.92 for the winning combination of trainer Jim Doherty Jr. and owner Chris Tully.

Trainer Veronica Merton scored with Rock A Honey in 1:55.2 -$8.76, the winner is owned by Chris Elia. The 46-1 Celia Bayama ($92.50) scored in 1:58.1 won for trainer – driver Bruce Aldrich Jr. who had a pair of driving wins on the 10 race card.

Jim Taggart Jr. took both halves of the early Daily Double aboard Muskingum 2:01.1 - $3.40 & Vicky Everyday in 1:57.2 -$3.26.

Lil Red Rocknhood (M. Merton) scored at 28-1 by a scant neck in 1:59 --$58.80 for trainer Cedric Washington, the following race another bomb hit at 33-1 Mornin Merle (T. Merton) 1:59.2 -$69.32
