NOT EVERYTHING ON THE INTERNET IS TRUE!

Attention all zoo friends and family: We are currently having some issues with Apple Maps. As you see they are reporting we are temporarily closed -- NOT TRUE. WE ARE OPEN!! We are working with Apple on the issue, hoping to have it resolved soon. Google maps, TRUE NEWS -- Google is reporting WE ARE OPEN, and we correct hours! Wahoooo, Google! Go Google!

Just to clarify: THE ZOO IS OPEN 7 DAYS PER WEEK, 9:30am - 4:30pm, with final entry / admission at 3:30pm, member perk can enter the Zoo as late as 4pm. Help spread the word -- WE ARE OPEN!!!

BIG AND BEAUTIFUL

Trumpeter swans are the largest native waterfowl species in North America, famous for their loud, resonant calls. Males can weigh over 26 to 35 pounds and measure up to 6 feet long, with a wingspan stretching up to 10 feet wide.

Because they are so heavy, they need about 100 yards of open water to run and build speed before they can fly.

Bison drink on average will drink anywhere from 15 to 30 gallons of water every single day. They also ingest about 1.6 percent of their body mass in dry vegetation daily. Stay hydrated my friend!
