✨ Meet The Singer: Jasmine Craig

A lover of the fine arts, Jasmine is gifted as a Visual Artist and creator of short films. She loves to draw portraits of people and develop cartoon art.

Jasmine love singing. She studies vocal music privately and applies her techniques to choral music.

🗣️ "I never thought I would get this opportunity. Rehearsals and performances have been fun. But today will be the best day ever as I sing at Carnegie Hall!"

As we prepare to take the stage at Carnegie Hall in New York City, we're introducing the incredible singers who will represent Montgomery on one of the world's most prestigious stages.

✨ Today's Singer Spotlight: Montgomery Sings! Leadership Team Member Andre’ McCants Hodges

Andre’ is an educator with 29 years of experience in public education across Alabama and Louisiana. Throughout her career, she has served as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, Career and Technical Education Director, Curriculum and Instruction Director, District Assessment Coordinator, Education Specialist, and Compliance Monitor.

Her highest degree is an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Alabama State University, a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Xavier University of Louisiana, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Alabama State University.
A passionate advocate for education and the arts, Ms. Hodges is a member of Montgomery Sings!, the Southeast Alabama Regional Choir of the Gospel Music Workshop of America, and the Freewill Missionary Baptist Church Mass Choir. She enjoys singing, traveling, worship, and spending time with family and friends.

When asked what singing at Carnegie Hall means to her, Andre’ shared:

🗣️ "We have worked hard for this moment. After all the rehearsals and fundraisers, we made it. I thank God for this moment that I will never forget."

Jamiece Gray is a dedicated community servant and music ministry advocate who is passionate about bringing people together through faith, fellowship, and the arts. Through her involvement in choral music and community outreach, she strives to inspire, uplift, and strengthen the lives of those around her.

When asked what singing at Carnegie Hall means to her, Jamiece shared:

✨ Today's Singer Spotlight: Montgomery Sings! Leadership Team Member Dr. Ronnie Doughty

Dr. Ronnie A. Doughty is an Education Specialist with Montgomery Public Schools, and a proud member of Montgomery Sings for the past two years. A lifelong advocate for music, service, and community engagement, he enjoys using the arts to bring people together and create meaningful connections. When he is not working, Dr. Doughty can be found singing with church and community choirs, volunteering throughout the Montgomery area, watching classic films from the 1940s and 1950s, and fellowshipping with his fraternity brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc..

When asked what singing at Carnegie Hall means to him, Ronnie shared:

🗣️ "To have this opportunity is truly remarkable. Every rehearsal has prepared us for this moment. I feel more than ready...We have a show to do!"
