DOUBLE TROUBLE IN THE FORM OF TWO IMPROV SHOWS IS BETTER!!!

That's right! Improv is back again at the Playhouse THIS Saturday night (9/12)!

So tell your friends to giddy up, and get ready to laugh! 🐴 🦄 🤣

Here's the breakdown --

We have TWO improv shows coming up on Saturday, September 12th.

Our very own Yes! And...? Improv troupe will kick things off with a 7p offering, which will be a family-friendly affair. Come see the silly games and quick wits of our troupe members as they try to incorporate the audience's suggestions into the variety of kooky scenarios they have generated.

There will take a short break after the first show to let the gang rest and recover, and then we'll come back for more fun at 8:30p.

The second show is going to be geared towards adults, and may have a bit more bold and b***y language (YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!). Be prepared for a little bit of anything and everything as the troupe takes their improv to the weirdest and wildest places they can imagine.

Tell your friends and neighbors, because Sharing is Caring!

It's $15 to get in the door. Separate shows means separate admission, so no confusing yourselves that this is a 2-for-1. But, if you want to see both, we will offer a discount for the second show because we love you guys!

📣 🎼 ATTENTION MUSICAL THEATRE FANS!!! 🎭

Do you love to sing? Do you dream of doing it on stage in the next big musical your school/community theatre/Broadway touring company show?
Well... we have an awesome opportunity to gain valuable skills for your Theatre Tool Kit with our upcoming Vocal Performance Workshop!!!

This workshop is for singers who want to better understand their instrument and become more confident, capable musical theater performers.

We’ll spend the morning working on the anatomy and mechanics of the singing voice, effective vocal warm-ups, healthy vocal production, and the practical side of using your voice for musical theater. We’ll also work on performance skills, storytelling through song, vocal troubleshooting and tendencies, and work through common mental blocks with singing and performing.

Participants should come prepared with a 32-bar cut of a musical theater piece and sheet music. We’ll use your repertoire for personal feedback and as a way to put the technical and performance concepts into practice.

This is geared toward all levels of singers who already have some experience and a working foundation in singing and are interested in taking their vocal and performance skills further. Come ready to work, learn, experiment, and have some fun with your voice!

Please bring:

A 32-bar musical theater cut
Sheet music for your selection, in a binder
Accompaniment track
Pencil and notebook
Wear comfortable clothing
An open mind and a willingness to sing

*this workshop is appropriate for students ages 15+

📢 💥 Super fun class reminder!!! 🎭😂

Do you like to laugh? Maybe you enjoy making others giggle? Well, this is the opportunity for you to focus that part of your brain with some like-minded chuckleheads.
And, there’s still time to register!

Our Improv Intensive class is designed to teach you the techniques of improvisation through short form sketch work and games.

We have 10 classes meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays -
8/25, 8/27, 9/1, 9/3, 9/8, 9/10, 9/15, 9/17, 9/22, and 9/24.

The class will focus on improv basics with the goal of helping students move up to the next level in the improvisational skills! We will focus on intermediate and advanced structures and audience interaction and working toward performance.

In order to enroll in our Improv Intensive, participants should have had some theatre exposure and hopefully will have worked on improv before to get the most out of the class.
It is Intermediate level work, but with a Beginner-friendly energy!
