This past spring, the Town of Wallkill Boys & Girls Club brought STEAM's teaching artists, Beth & Scott to Robert J. Kaiser (RJK) Middle School to focus on Self Care, Mindfulness, Good Listening and Playing Percussion as part of our Full STEAM Ahead Healthy Habits initiative using music to provide tools for students to deal with their everyday challenges. In addition to exercises to improve communication, the students participated in a weekly drum circle to have fun and express their emotions.
