The Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) exists to engage, enlighten and elevate a diverse inclusive cultural, performing, literary, and visual arts community. The DCA shall strengthen and advance organizational and individual cultural initiatives by:

~Identifying, recognizing, developing, supporting, and promoting Montgomery’s cultural fields including the individual artists, artisans, administ

rators, audiences, and advocates

~Creating partnerships, networks, enterprises, and collaborations

~Cultivating and promoting the presentation, and production of Montgomery’s [Alabama’s] rich and diverse culture

~Advocating for the cultural arts and arts education
