In this deep ground penetrating radar time slice image from Bibb County, AL, an ancient stream bed is shown as high amplitude GPR reflections curving through the foreground. The GPR data was layered over a Google Earth georeferenced aerial photograph taken during the initial portion of the site’s mitigation. Excavations revealed a multicomponent site dating from the Archaic Period in North America (8000 BC - 1000 BC).
