STARTING FRIDAY AUGUST 28th
COYOTE VS.ACME (PG)
After decades of being blown to bits by bombs, demolished by dynamite, mangled by magnets, battered by boulders, trampled by trains, tricked by tunnels, sprung by springs, steamrolled by steamrollers, maligned by misfires, bedeviled by bungees, rattled by rockets, backstabbed by bat suits, rocked by rocket skates, upended by unicycles, quaked by quake pills, rubberized by rogue bands, and hurled headlong off every cliff in the Southwest, Wile E. Coyote (Genius) finally fights back. Teaming up with billboard accident lawyer Kevin Avery (Will Forte), he takes on slick corporate counsel Buddy Crane (John Cena) and ACME, Inc., the profit-obsessed conglomerate behind every one of the Coyote’s chaotic catastrophes.
THE DOG STARS (R)
Set in a post-apocalyptic world in which a virus has wiped out most of humanity, with survivors being terrorized by roaming scavengers called "Reapers." The protagonist is Hig, a pilot who survived the flu that killed everyone he knew, his wife included. Hig sometimes heads off in his 1956 Cessna, where he can fish and pretend things are how they used to be. When a random transmission somehow beams through his radio, the voice ignites a hope deep inside him that a better life might exist if he flies a bit further. He risks it all. to chase a possible haven in Grand Junction.

ECHOES IN THE NIGHT
In October 1989, on a quiet road in St. Joseph, Minnesota, Jacob Wetterling was abducted by a masked gunman while riding his bike home from the store. For 27 years, the question of what happened to Jacob hung over the community like a dark cloud. Haunting as it was, Jacob served as an inspiration for tremendous good, with his family leading a movement to reform laws and advocating for prevention of crimes against children.
In 2015, our team of Minneapolis-based filmmakers embarked on a documentary project that would lead us on a truly unexpected journey. After meeting several times with Jacob's parents, we started filming on what turned out to be the very week the perpetrator was finally arrested.
In the years since, we have followed the breaking news in the case, and focused on the ceaseless search for Jacob, the wide-reaching impacts of Jacob's story, and the reverberating effects the crime has had on several people at the very center of it. In the end, we feel we have succeeded in producing a film that honors Jacob's memory by telling a truthful, haunting, but ultimately hopeful tale, of how an unthinkable crime touched so many lives.
INSIDIOUS: OUT OF THE FURTHER (PG-13)
In Insidious: Out of the Further, Amelia Eve stars as Gemma, a young mother raising her daughter in the house she grew up in who discovers she can travel into The Further, the purgatorial realm of lost souls at the heart of the Insidious universe. When something evil comes after her, Gemma discovers an ability that changes everything: she doesn’t just enter The Further, she can bring what lives there back to the real world. Once the demons realise her power, our world becomes their playground.
SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY (PG-13)
It's a BRAND NEW DAY for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as
Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him -- and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him -- sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves - a powerful villain no one can even see.
The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.
