MPC Theatre is excited to announce that the 3rd show of the 2026-27 season is Machinal by Sophie Treadwell. Loosely based on real life events, “Machinal” is a fearlessly frank examination of the expectations of marriage and motherhood. Sophie Treadwell’s gripping and pulse-pounding surrealist drama illustrates what can happen when one is pushed to breaking point and relentlessly ground down by the machinery of life. Directed by long time professor Laura Coté, Machinal will perform in the Studio Theatre March 11-21, 2027. Auditions will be announced in late Fall 2026.

MPC Theatre Arts is proud to announce the second production of the 2026-27 season. Originally written in 1664, Molière’s classic French comedy, Tartuffe, tells the story of a fraudulent, hypocritical "holy man", who worms his way into a wealthy, aristocratic family. Tartuffe manipulates the patriarch, Orgon, into signing over his estate and household, creating chaos within his family, until the King steps in to expose and arrest the imposter. This production is directed by MPC department chair Todd Siff on the Morgan Stock Stage from November 12-22. Audition information and full season announcement coming soon!
