Since I can remember I have been inspired to draw and ride trains. Through my years of art instruction and education I have experimented
heavily with acrylics, oil pastel and mixed media. I am a proud Husband,
Father of Two and Naval Veteran. After years of discerning I have settled on

a unique artistic expression

that combines watercolor and mixed media through pulverized non-
precious stones and minerals. My degree came from the prestigious Virginia Military Institute having
studied Arabic Language and Middle Eastern Culture. Before I entered the
military as a naval officer, I was very intentional and took extra time to
re-discover what was most important in my life and what gives me and
others life. My profession in the arts was born out of these experiences. My inspiration comes from the
personal and military travels I navigated across Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia and the United States. Now I focus primarily on helping people create an atmosphere of peace and providing interior
design solutions for their Railroad themed businesses and non-profit organizations to include eateries,
professional offices, AirBnBs, restoration campaigns, or scenic/historical railway museums and gift shops. I am also passionate about home space solutions (such as Fireplace/Mantle pieces) and take commissions

Back to Back Holbein Demos 2 for 1, Watermedia Suite, and Acrylic Family Materials Workshop- Mother’s Day Weekend Special!

Date & Time: May 9th, 10:30am -3pm (Break 12:30-1pm)

*Location: Monterey, CA - Private Artist Residence to be provided after registration only.

Can you spot the train?

This piece was completed on location as the trains whooshed past me just outside of downtown San Diego. The underpass created a dramatic dark foreground moving into the light that reminded me of the struggles I had overcome in my life. The glint of an approaching train symbols a new journey about to be embarked on just "Around the Bend" Piece is created with mineral infused watercolors to include Jade, Serpentine and Sodalite which the ancient Incans used for their royal jewelery. Price upon request. Framed 16x20.

Holbein, Legion and General Pencil Demo Today in Monterey, CA at Monterey Peninsula Art Foundation (MPAF)

I had a wonderful time sharing Watercolor, Irodori Gouache and Holbein Acryla- Gouache insights on several of the latest Legion substrates featuring YUPO paper on Panels and Black Stonehedge Aqua and General Pencil's Master's Handsoap, Kimberley 2H and Scribe Layout pencils. Everyone had a chance to ask questions, experiment and leave with samples.
