📣📣 To active patrons of Star Ballroom Dance Studio, please read below for refund procedure of class cards and floor cards:

1) Cards with expiration date on or after January 1, 2023 are eligible for refund. Cards must be returned in-person in order to receive a check refund.

2) Dates of refund: 1:00pm - 3:00pm on Saturday February 25, 2023 and Sunday February 26, 2023.

3) Location: Guilin Noodle Restaurant, next to the studio.

退款條件： 1/1/2023 以後到期的上課卡和埸地卡

REPOST: Tomorrow on January 31st, Dharma Drum Mountain Los Angeles Center will be providing a ceremony in Monterey Park to bless the victims and those affected by the tragic mass shooting at Star Dance Studio. We are co-hosting this ceremony to give space to process this tragedy in the Buddhist tradition, an important religious and cultural aspect of Monterey Park and SGV communities. While this will be a Buddhist ceremony, all faiths and all people are welcome to join. The ceremony will start promptly at 6:30 pm and run for approximately 1 hour.

Yesterday afternoon, seven high priest Buddhist monks from Vietnam held a ceremony for the 11 victims of the shooting outside the main entrance of Star Dance Studio. The religious ceremony was held in accordance to traditional Chinese customs.

The high priest Buddhist monks recited their sutras as a form of duty and did not accept donations or offerings. The duration of the sutra recitations lasted 45 minutes.

Anyone seeking assistance from the tragic incident can visit the Langley Senior Citizen Center. Services include mental health, crisis response, and victim and survivor assistance. Chinese assistance is available.

Dear Star Dance Community,

Thank you for your prayers and thoughts during this difficult time. What should have been a festive night to welcome the first day of the Lunar New Year turned into a tragedy. Our heart goes out to all the victims, survivors, and their families. In this time of healing, we hope that all those who were affected have the space to grieve and process what transpired within the last 24 hours. In the meantime, all classes will be canceled and studio will be closed until further notice.
