I have scoliosis and find this headstand variation a challenge because it asks a lot of the shoulders. My one shoulder is taut and tight, the other one is unstable. To feel my way to steadiness, then balance, requires deep focus. I feel this practice (any yoga) is particularly helpful when a lot is being asked of us on many fronts. Where do we feel tight and closed off? Where do we feel unanchored? How can we find our way back to balance?
