I’ve recently launched a Kickstarter campaign (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/harunzankel/the-peoples-calendar) to facilitate engagement in political action - for the future of our democracy.
It’s called The People’s Calendar: A Weekly Action Guide.
Every day, the headlines bring endless noise and division. I was just feeling powerless, not knowing where to put my efforts. And I know I wasn’t alone. The question was, how can we take action in a tangible way?
As an answer, I collaborated with Louis Wittig, to create a calendar with simple and doable action prompts. Timed to coincide with the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, it’s a celebration of our freedoms and a tool to take small, weekly steps towards preserving those freedoms.
This is a way to channel concern into action. This is the People’s Calendar.

Proceeds from the sales of the calendars will be going to the ACLU.
