The Steinway B has found a new home! A local pianist, and a great one, has adopted her. Amazingly, he told me the story of his first piano, which was a beat up (looking) old Steinway upright. So he loves that the B is an ugly duckling and loves even more how great she sounds and plays. It's going to an ideal home. We're both so pleased!

How about a practically brand new 1882 Steinway B, a 7' Semi-Concert grand piano?
Before I refinish it... if you just want a great piano and don't care that much about its appearance... this is the deal for you!
This piano was completely remanufacted (except for refinishing) at the Steinway factory in New York in the Fall of 2016. It had all the action work done and upgraded to a more modern "Accelerated Action", restrung, and all the belly work done, which means new sound board and new wrest plank (pinblock).

This truly is like a brand new piano. The detail and thoroughness is amazing. Every thing on the action is brand new, including, hammers, keysticks, action frame, action rails, dampers - EVERYTHING. No parts from 1882.

You can find "refurbished" Steinway Bs from $30-50,000 but they're not completely remanufactured BY STEINWAY like this one is. The work Steinway did was in the $40,000 range. T

I'm planning on refinishing this one if no one wants it as an "ugly duckling" and the price will then, of course, go up.

Price now? $15,000. Own a "Brand New 1882 Steinway Grand"

Folks, I'm in need of a vertical (upright) piano for a customer. I had to deliver "last rites" on her piano when I went to tune and repair it. So if anybody has or knows of a useable upright that doesn't look too bad, please reach out to me.

The funny thing is that I usually get a lot of calls from people with pianos to give away, but lately.... phone silence!

I have a customer with an exceptional 6' Chickering grand piano for sale. It has a very interesting back story as well, from a Rankin mansion. Very old but in very good condition. I don't know yet how much he's asking for it, but if you're at all interested, let me know.
