Nestled in the hills of western Massachusetts on 34 acres of gardens, orchards, pastures and woods, Montague Retreat Center borders thousands of acres of wildlife management area. Despite its easy accessibility (20 minutes from UMass Amherst and I-91), the atmosphere is very peaceful and remote. South-facing fields lined by magnificent maple groves fall off suddenly into a deep ravine at the confluence of the Saw Mill River and Spaulding Brook. A state-of-the-art barn with geo-thermal heating and cooling, bamboo floors, exposed beams and soaring ceilings provides indoor space for your event, as does our gorgeous tented stone patio.
